We are sorry if this restriction of only '@cam.ac.uk' email addresses is inconvenient. We have decided to do it so that we can guarantee that people are members of the University, in the interests of security. If you think this is unreasonable, or if you think we should make an exception, then please do email one of the Cambridge University team who will do their best to help. (For instance, visiting members of the University may not have a University email address.) We will, of course, keep your email addresses confidential. One exception we do make to this rule is to allow recent alumni of the University, who are still resident in Cambridge to join. You may do this using your '@cantab.net' email address. If this applies to you, please be so good as to mention it in your profile.
